About CONDUCTIVE GREASE

It is conductive grease suitable for transmission of electricity specially at high voltages. It also conducts heat away from its source and protects the electrical contacts from wear and corrosion. MOSIL EC 424 forms a very tenacious conductive film on the contact surface permitting very little voltage drops across the contacts and withstanding severe arcing that occurs in high voltage lines. It is thermally stable, oxidation resistant grease suitable for high temperature applications.

AREA OF APPLICATION

Electrical contacts and other linkages of circuit breaker operating at 33KV, Battery terminals, Contactors, Starters, Switches and Relays.

 BENEFITS

Improves conductivity of contacts. Protects from wear and corrosion Chemically inert Reduces arcing

Superior Conductive and Lubricating Performance

This conductive grease bridges the gap between efficient lubrication and electrical conductivity. Designed for antistatic and conductive tasks, it seamlessly supports the operation of industrial and electronic equipment. It protects components from corrosion and oxidation while maintaining outstanding stability and consistency, even in varying temperature ranges.

Optimized for Industrial Electrical Applications

Engineered for use in electrical contacts, bushes, terminals, switchgear, and bearing lubrication, the grease excels in demanding industrial and machinery environments. With a drop point above 180C and high thermal conductivity, it ensures equipment operates smoothly without overheating or suffering electrical interruptions.

Material and Environmental Compatibility

Suitable for metals, alloys, and many plastics (verify before use), the formulation resists water ingress and maintains integrity in diverse conditions. Its synthetic base and conductive fillers ensure long-lasting performance while its packaging protects from contamination and environmental effects.

FAQs of CONDUCTIVE GREASE:

Q: How should conductive grease be applied to electrical contacts or bearings?

A: Apply a thin, even layer of grease directly onto the clean surface of the electrical contacts, bearings, or other components using a spatula, brush, or gloved hand. Ensure surfaces are free from dirt, old grease, or oxidation for optimal performance.

Q: What benefits does this grease offer over standard lubricants in electrical applications?

A: Unlike standard lubricants, this grease provides both high-quality lubrication and low electrical resistivity, enhancing conductivity, reducing static build-up, and preventing electrical failures. It offers excellent corrosion resistance and thermal stability, making it ideal for sensitive electrical and electronic components.

Q: When should I reapply or replace the grease in my equipment?

A: Reapplication schedule depends on operating conditions, but generally, inspect the grease during regular maintenance intervals (every 612 months), or sooner if exposed to high temperatures or heavy loads. Replace if the grease appears degraded, contaminated, or has lost its consistency.

Q: Where can this conductive grease be safely used in industrial environments?

A: This grease is suitable for electrical contacts, switchgear, terminals, bearing lubrication, and various machinery components in industrial settings. It is compatible with metals, alloys, and specific plasticsalways check compatibility before use on plastic parts.

Q: What is the recommended storage process for maintaining grease quality?

A: Store the grease in its original plastic jar or tube, tightly sealed, in a cool and dry location away from direct sunlight. Make sure the container is closed after each use to prevent contamination and preserve its shelf life of up to 24 months.

Q: What advantages does the high thermal conductivity of this grease provide?

A: High thermal conductivity allows the grease to efficiently dissipate heat from bearings, electrical contacts, and terminals, minimizing overheating risks and prolonging the lifespan of both the grease and the equipment it lubricates.
